About Me

Hey there! My name is Sabrina Byrnes and I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years with a background as a photojournalist for a variety of community newspapers. I have won provincial and national awards, including the 2019 Photographer of the Year Award for the Ontario Community Newspapers Association.

I currently live in Durham Region. I am a mom to the funniest, sweetest five-year-old boy and have the best man for a partner in life. Our family is complete with our super active pup. When I am not working, I love going for hikes with my family or playing cars and dinosaurs with my son. Although a camera is never usually too far away! Music has also been a big part of my life as I really enjoy playing the guitar. I love telling stories through photos and would be honoured to tell the story of your family. I pride myself on capturing genuine moments that you will cherish for years to come.

Photography has always been my passion since I was a young girl. I feel so privileged that I have been able to make a career out of doing something I love. Working as a photojournalist, I learned that the greatest skill to have is to be patient and wait for the right opportunity to capture your image. That skill is what I bring to family photography. I love letting kids be kids. Letting them play and explore their surroundings. Being patient and just letting them have fun is where we get beautiful moments frozen in time. My goal in every session is to have fun! That is where timeless memories are made.
